Project Triangle Strategy is a new game by Square Enix, which is being developed under the leadership of Tomoya Asano (creator of the Octopath Traveler, among others). The title will be coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch in 2022. The game's publisher outside of Japan will be Nintendo.
After Octopath Traveler, Project Triangle Strategy is the second title in Square Enix's HD-2D series. This time, however, we are dealing with a tactical jRPG inspired by Tactics Ogre.
The plot will focus around three nations competing for diminishing resources. The gameplay will take place in turns on multi-level boards, which we'll be able to use to our advantage - for example, we'll be able to electrocute units standing in water using the lightning spell.
A demo version of the game was made available in the Nintendo eShop, so those who own a Switch can check out how Project Triangle Strategy performs.
