Star Citizen's anti cheat error 30033 is frustrating players. CIG is investigating
Players are getting locked out of Star Citizen due to an anti-cheat message. Seems like Alpha 4.0.2 is a bit buggy right now.

Cloud Imperium Games continues to expand error code 2000 stopped players from even installing the game – this update hasn’t gone as smoothly as it should have. Now, error 30033 from the anti-cheat system is stirring up a lot of frustration.
CIG’s new update brings hype and headaches
A bunch of players jumped back into Star Citizen for the new event, only to be disconnected and hit with an anti-cheat message. So if it happened to you – don’t worry, you’re not some sneaky cheater, and you’re not banned. It’s just a bug from the latest update causing the issue.
Reddit FrankCarnax posted a warning to let other players know what’s up. Some were relieved to find out it wasn’t their fault, while others weren’t so lucky – after sinking several hours into the game, they lost all their progress and now can’t even log back in.
CIG quickly put out a post on the community hub, saying:
We’re currently investigating issues with AntiCheat and will update this Broadcast with more details as soon as we have them.
Some players have managed to log back in, but it’s unclear if the issue is actually fixed. So until there’s an official update, keep it in mind. Also, fingers crossed that CIG extends the ‘Supply or Die’ event to make up for the mess.
Let’s just hope CIG isn’t too caught up with crowdfunding in 2024. With any luck, they won’t make fans wait forever.
