Unreal Engine 5 Tech Demo Can be Run on Beefed up Laptop
Epic Games' Chinese branch revealed that the impressive tech demo of Unreal Engine 5 can run at 40 frames per second and 1440p resolution on a decent laptop.

Epic Games unveiled Unreal Engine 5 a few days ago, and a breathtaking tech demo was shown to demonstrate the capabilities of the newe version of this popular graphics engine. It ran on the PlayStation 5 console, so there were quick questions about what kind of PC we would need to enjoy these views. It turns out that a powerful laptop is enough.
This information comes from Epic Games China, the company's Chinese branch. Its representative said that Unreal Engine 5 demo can be run in 1440p and 40 fps on a laptop with GeForce RTX 2080 GPU.
This is all the more interesting as the demo was running at 30 frames per second on PlayStation 5 at the same resolution. This means that such a laptop is able to deliver graphics teven better than what we have seen. Of course, with the extra time to optimize the PS5, it could also probably reach 40 FPS. Hopefully, however, this means that a strong modern PC will have no problem with handling games using Unreal Engine 5.
However, we will wait a long time before we can find out about it personally. The UE5 engine is not expected to debut until next year.
