Another digital adaptation of the popular Battleship game. This edition was created by Ubisoft. Gameplay rules are similar to the original game. During the game the player is tasked with destroying all ships of his opponent. The ships are hidden in various parts of the map that is divided into a grid.
Battleship is a digital version of the popular pen&paper game. Ubisoft, the producer and publisher of such brands as Assassin's Creed, Far Cry or Rayman, is responsible for creating the game.
The game itself does not differ in of rules from the original. During the game in Battleship our task is to destroy all enemy units hidden on a small board divided into fields. In each round we take a shot, trying to discover the location of the ships. Unlike the pen&paper edition or browser games, Battleship on PS4 and XONE boasts three-dimensional graphics, social elements like leaderboards, and additional game modes.
Battleship offers two gameplay variants - classic and Clash at Sea. In the first case, we are dealing with standard rules, and in the second, we acquire resources during the game, thanks to which we can use special abilities of our units. In addition, developers have prepared PvP mode, a simple skirmish between two players - not only on one console, but also over the Internet. There is also a story campaign, where we perform a number of various missions, as well as PvE mode, where the enemy is controlled by AI.
