This time we play the role of a healer, who is summoned to the queen affected by the strange affliction. In order to discover the secret of the ruler and remove the mysterious curse, we will have to go to the ruined Kingdom of Swans.

Grim Legends 2: Song of the Dark Swan is a PC, AND, etc. casual adventure game with hidden objects, part of a series combining famous fairy tales and legends with horror elements. The series is another project of this kind in the artistic output of Artifex Mundi studio in Zabrze, which within a few years has managed to establish itself as a world leader in the popular genre of HOPA games.

Story

The plot of the game is a free adaptation of the classic fairy tale about Six Swans. We play the role of a famous healer, who is summoned to Orla Stanica in order to discover the causes of the mysterious disease that the young queen contracted. Shortly after her arrival, the little prince disappears from the castle and the queen is accused of black magic and sentenced to death. Thanks to our abilities we discover that the real culprit of unexplained events is the secret of the young queen. Dragged into the whirlwind of palace intrigues, we have to go to the ruined Kingdom of Swans and discover the mystery of the curse over the ruling family.

Mechanics

The mechanics of the game is subordinated to the solutions typical for the production of Artifex Mundi. During the game, we travel through the locations of the suggestive, fairy-tale world, meeting a dozen or so colorful characters and three faithful companions who will save us from oppression several times. The creators prepared 23 demanding mini games of logic and skill and 12 complex scenes with hidden objects. During the breaks between tasks we learn more about the elements of a captivating storyline.

Technical issues

Graphic design of the game on the PC platform, AND, etc. is at a high level, to which we were accustomed by our native developer. Players will find 33 fabulously colourful, hand-drawn locations and a number of intermittent scenes. In addition to the standard edition, the creators also prepared a collector's version of the game, enriched with a bonus chapter, special finds and achievements, and a whole host of additional materials.
