RailWorks 3: Train Simulator 2012 is another entry in simulator game series focused on trains. As all previous titles, it has been developed by Dovetail Games studio. Interestingly, the owners of the previous part can this game as a free update.
Game mechanics
RailWorks 3: Train Simulator 2012 for PC is one of the most complex train simulators in history. All control systems were realistically recreated in the game, and developers made sure to make it as realistic as possible. We are given fifteen real trains carefully implemented into game, including both modern and steam locomotive era machines, which we can run on eight different tracks (five from real world and three fictional).
Game modes
Developers of RailWorks 3: Train Simulator 2012 for PC have prepared a complex set of tutorials for newcomers, where they can easily learn the basics. The centerpiece is career mode, offering tens of varied missions. Additionally, there is a huge editor that can be used to modify existing routes or create custom ones from the scratch. Players can choose various types of terrain, shape and length of the track and surrounding objects. Thos creations can be then shared with community.
Misc.
It is worth noting that all DLC for RailWorks 2 are also compatible with RailWorks 3: Train Simulator, meaning we won’t lose money spent on those add-ons.
