Secret Files: Tunguska is a classic, two-dimensional point & click adventure game developed by a German studio, Fusionsphere Systems. The story of the game is connected to the so-called Tunguska event, a mysterious explosion which occurred in 1908. The explosion had the strength of more than twelve megatons (about one thousand times the strength of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima) and it leveled 6 thousand square kilometers of forest in Siberia. One could hear the explosion from a thousand kilometers away from the epicenter and for three nights the whole Europe was light enough for people to read a newspaper in the night without needing any source of light. Even today the scientists don’t know what exactly caused the event and there are a couple of theories which more or less explain the situation – among the most popular theories there are: an asteroid disintegrating in the atmosphere; an alien spaceship crashing on Earth; and a black hole traveling through the planet (hardly credible).

Plot

The story of the protagonist starts rather inconspicuously. One day, Nina Kalenkow, a charming Russian mechanic who lives in , drives to a museum where she intends to meet with her father who works there. She enters his office, but instead of her father – she finds chaos. Items are scattered all over the place and documents are lying on the floor. Disturbed, the girl wonders what had happened and where her is father. She starts looking for him and a long adventure begins. Nina isn’t the only character controlled in the game. The second playable character is Max Gruber, a colleague of Nina’s father who decides to help the Russian girl in her search. Nina and Max will start a dangerous journey, unaware of many adventures and mysterious they will face on the other end of the world.
