SimTown

Another game from the cult series "sim" by Maxis. It is a reference to the most famous game of this American studio - SimCity, which was released in 1989. After a series of difficult and complex simulation games, definitely addressed to older players, SimTown represents a turn to a younger audience.

SimTown mechanics is reminiscent of SimCity's principles, although it has been simplified in many respects. The aim of the players is to create a small town and take care of the appropriate level of happiness of its inhabitants. When we receive a small piece of land, we have to fill it with houses, workplaces and public buildings. Of course, decorative elements such as trees, flowers and water reservoirs have not been forgotten.

The happiness of the inhabitants can be achieved by providing them with water supply, aesthetically decorated surroundings, an appropriate level of cultivation or effective recycling of waste. The amount of funds and their consumption depend on the degree and type of land use. Trees and ponds consume a certain amount of water, while businesses and homes generate a certain amount of rubbish. All the problems affecting the imbalance in the town must be solved as quickly as possible, as they can have various negative effects, for example in the form of drying trees or dry lakes. Our achievements as a mayor, as well as the conditions in our area, will be mercilessly evaluated and commented on by the local newspaper.
