Sudden Strike is an extensive real-time strategy prepared by Fireglow development studio. The action of the game was set in the realities of World War II, and players can play the roles of commanders of the British, Soviet or German armies. The creators took care of complicated scenarios, based on historical sources, played out on huge boards and with the participation of hundreds of units.

Sudden Strike in all its complexity and realism is not just an RTS game, but should rather be seen as a tactical war simulation. The game surprises with its realistic and detailed scenery, the huge number of units that can take part in the struggle (up to 1000 units at the same time), but also with the size of the areas in which you can move. The authors put great emphasis on the detailed elaboration of all the details, including the seasons of the year, and even the behaviour of soldiers smoking cigarettes in their free time. In Sudden Strike we see: trees, forests and buildings where allied and enemy units can hide.

We can choose any side of the conflict: Germans, British or Russians. The combat missions have been worked out in every detail, and these historical ones have been reflected with incredible precision. The game offers a very large number of combat units - depending on the country we represent in the game. Tasks can be about positioning as an opponent, defending your territory, or destroying key targets that threaten your continued campaign. In addition to ground units, we have a parachute landing or a carpet raid led by the aviation. Depending on the needs, each side can use the appropriate fortifications and other objects, including pontoon bridges.

  • Possibility of destroying all key objects: bridges, houses, fortifications or even trees.
  • Realistic sound effects with the characteristic sounds of rifles and explosions.
  • Very faithfully reproduced combat units.
  • For the more persistent, a mission editor.
