A science fiction economic strategy, which is a continuation of Surviving Mars from 2018. The action of the title takes place after the apocalyptic catastrophe destroying our civilization, and the task of the players is to build a colony of people who survived this global catastrophe.
Surviving the Aftermath is an SF economic strategy game of the city builder genre. The developed by Iceflake and Paradox Interactive is a sequel to the 2018 Surviving Mars, where we were able to build the first self-sufficient Martian colony.
The action of the new title takes players from the Red Planet to Earth, which was devastated by an apocalyptic disaster. As we play Surviving the Aftermath, we'll find a procedurally generated map with six different biomes. The aim of the game is to construct and supervise a functional colony of people who survived the global cataclysm. Among the aspects that should be noted during the game are, among others, the security of the settlement and the management of resources.
Each of the biomes available in the title is characterized by different conditions that affect the game. In addition, the colony can be struck by natural disasters, the consequences of which the player has to face.
In Surviving the Aftermath the player is also given the opportunity to recruit specialists. These characters have unique abilities that help manage the colony. In addition, specialists can go beyond the city walls to perform research missions or to fight local bandits.
Surviving the Aftermath can only be played solo.
