The Chant is a horror action game. The game takes us to the lands belonging to the new age cult, which were taken over by the dark creatures. It is a debut work of Brass Token studio.
The Chant is an action adventure game, in the style of psychedelic horror. It was developed by the team at Brass Token, created, among others, by former employees of such studios as Rockstar Games, Electronic Arts and The Coalition; its release was handled by Prime Matter.
The Chant takes us on a journey to a remote island belonging to a New Age cult. The main character arrives on this patch of land in search of peace, tranquility and enlightenment. Things take a tragic turn, however, when a ritual performed by cultists ends up opening a age to another dimension. The darkness, for that is the name of this reality, feeds on the negative energy of the people, manifesting their fears and weaknesses in the form of terrifying creatures. Fighting for survival, the protagonist must uncover the mystery of the events that took place on the island in the 1970s, as they are the key to closing the portal again.
In The Chant, we observe the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). The exploration of the island, discovering its secrets, getting to know its inhabitants and solving puzzles are hindered by enemies created by the Darkness. The protagonist has to defend herself against them, using the tools of murder she creates herself based on the resources she finds along the way. When, on the other hand, everything else fails, she has no choice but to flee.
The Chant features high quality graphics. Above all, the game's diverse, richly detailed and atmospheric locations are to be liked, although attention is also drawn to the realistically animated, detailed character models.

Game Ratings for The Chant Video Game.
ZTGD: 7.5 / 10 by Drew Leachman
Aside from a few issues and a single voice actor, I had a great time with The Chant. It has a good atmosphere, simple mechanics and a fun overall story that kept me going for the six to seven hours it took. This is going to be one of those games that will be looked at in a few years as a hidden gem that people didn’t play. Let me at least be one of the people to tell you, play this one. You’ll have a pretty fun time.
GamingTrend: 80 / 100 by Corvo Rohwer
A visually striking take on the survival horror genre, The Chant solidifies its own identity within the alternative science of prisms and natural remedies. Unique game mechanics serve to create an unusual but fun experience, even if at odds with the overall narrative at times.
Wccftech: 6 / 10 by Nathan Birch
The Chant offers a far-out setting, unique upgrade system, and some vintage charm, but restrictive level design, listless combat, and dingy visuals strike a sour note. While old-school survival horror fans may find The Chant appealing, wider audiences probably won’t be drinking the Kool-Aid.
