The game enables the player to participate in the titular battle as a er of one of the sides of the conflict. The player can lead a three-person team of men, elves, dwarves or orcs. Ancient evil has returned to Middle-earth. The dark lord Sauron and his obedient orc armies appeared near the Lonely Mountain to attack and surprise the unsuspecting enemy. The Great War hangs in the air, and three swaying races of people, elves and dwarves face a difficult choice: to unite in a fight against evil, or to be defeated.
In The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies - Fight for Middle-Earth, we can choose one of the four sides of the conflict, taking control of a three-person party of people, elves, dwarves or orcs. Each race has its own strengths and weaknesses, although the combat mechanics are very similar (except for the elves using the bow). During the game, we travel to the Lonely Mountain and the surrounding es, and our goal is to eliminate enemy units. We can switch between the of the team controlled by the virtual joystick and three buttons responsible for the block, attack and special attack.
The graphics and animations in The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies - Fight for Middle-Earth are on a decent level. Unfortunately, the authors did not try to add an extensive story mode. The game is played in the same way every time, and the only goal is to kill as many enemies as possible and achieve the highest score. The progress is illustrated by a summary online ranking showing the current total number of points scored by each race.
