The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy's Grand Adventure is a classic 2.5D platformer. The production is based on a licensed, award-winning and the world's most popular series of comic strips, drawn between 1950-2000 by Charles M. Shulz. His newspaper picture stories depicted the adventures of a group of children living in idyllic American suburbs. One of the symbols of The Peanuts and the favorite character of the fans is a dog named Snoopy, who belonged to the main character. The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy's Grand Adventure debut accompanied the premiere of the film version of The Peanuts, which took place in November 2015. The movie and the game were created to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the birth of the series.
Plot
In The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy's Grand Adventure, players play the role of Snoopy who sets out to find his master and his friends who are playing hide and seek. The plot is in no way related to the movie but is linked to it by the way it depicts the environment and the appearance of the characters. To achieve his goal, Snoopy has to travel through several fantastical lands created by his imagination. During their adventures, players will walk through the dense jungle, the streets of Paris, the Moon, and fly in the air in a red biplane from the First World War.
Mechanics
The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy's Grand Adventure uses a 2.5D perspective, which means that the game takes place on a 2D plane, but all locations have been built with 3D models. During his adventure, Snoopy finds different types of costumes, thanks to which he gains useful skills helpful in overcoming the obstacles standing in his way.
Game modes
The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy's Grand Adventure has a coop mode. The second player takes on the role of Woodstock, a small yellow bird that helps Snoopy find treasures and open hidden ages.
