Release Date: March 7, 2001
Baseball in the 2002 season with EA allows for a more interesting competition with the possibility to participate in the World Championships and accumulate points needed to buy bonuses.
Triple Play 2002 includes new features such as the Big League Challenge mode, where we can practice the basic baseball beats used in baseball. There is also a targeting mode, where we get extra points for hitting the ball on a specific target. The game accurately reproduces the movements of popular players such as Garciaparra, Randy Johnson, El Duque and others. There is a game editor with rules for referees, tossing winners after a good game and the final ceremony after the win. Well-known speakers Buck Martinez and Jim Hughson provide commentary.
In addition to the arcade aspect of the game, we can participate in the World Championships, which take place after winning the World League. In the Championship we will face the best teams in the world, which, when we beat them, will be available in the next season in normal tournament. In addition, by collecting the right amount of points during the season, we can buy things such as upgrades for players or stadium secrets.
